I disagree with one review which precedes mine. Shuttle buses run constantly, arriving far more frequently than any given rental agency's shuttle. The facility is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate. I love the wall installation, and have posted a picture. The customer service aspect would of course depend upon which rental agency you've chosen. I utilize Hertz 99% of the time in San Diego. I make my reservation online in advance. I arrive at the airport, take the shuttle, go to the Hertz Gold section, choose a vehicle, and drive to the gate. I hand over my license for verification, the gate agent scans the car code, and I'm on my way. Returning the car is just as easy.
